03The studio
Named for the kingfisher. Built for the stillness before a take.
In the old stories, the halcyon was a kingfisher that could calm the sea for seven days. We liked the idea of a company that makes room: for contributors to open up, for actors to find the moment, for audiences to sit with something true.
Halcyon was founded in 2012 in a former lamp works on Finnieston Quay. Today we are twenty-two producers, directors, editors and colourists, with a crew list that reaches from Shetland to the Borders.

04Leadership
The people behind the lens.
A small senior team who still read every script, sit in every grade and turn up on set when the weather turns.
-
Morven Lindsay

Twenty years producing factual television in London and Glasgow before bringing it all home to the Clyde.
-
Callum Adair
Head of Drama
Director of The Keeper’s Daughter. A former theatre director with a weakness for weather and long takes.
-
Priya Rennie

-
Euan Baxter
